CHAT envisions a vibrant community where Hmong American artists are inspired to share their perspectives, valued for their creative contributions, and empowered to challenge life’s boundaries. We will improve the quality of lives by creating a substantial Hmong arts community with a network of professional artists and a supportive audience.

The state of Minnesota is home to approximately 65,000 Hmong (out of a total of 250,000-300,000 in the U.S.), and nearly 70% live in the city of St. Paul. Being the only multi-disciplinary Hmong arts organization in the country, CHAT has the very unique opportunity and responsibility of nurturing and developing Hmong artists to enhance the community. CHAT uses art to communicate and as a catalyst for understanding.
