Chain Reaction Theatre Project ignites the human spirit by creating compelling, entertaining and socially conscious theatre, inspiring audiences, artists and communities to be more socially active world citizens.

Our vision is to use the powerful art form of theatre to increase awareness of local and global social injustices and to inspire and encourage audiences to take action.

We produce thought-provoking works that focus on issues dealing primarily with women and children. For each production, we will collaborate with another nonprofit whose work has a related theme. We produce a wide range of theatre including classic and contemporary texts, adaptations of existing texts as well as new works, which we will perform using a variety of performing arts mediums.

Our next production is the inspirational, documentary play "SEVEN" about the remarkable lives of seven courageous and diverse women who overcame tremendous obstacles to help the women and girls in their own countries. The play is a collaboration by seven award winning playwrights (Paula Cizmar, Catherine Filloux, Gail Kriegel, Carol Mack, Ruth Margraff, Anna Deveare Smith and Susan Yankowitz) who travelled to Russia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, Guatemala and Cambodia to interview the women. In conjunction with each performance, we will collaborate with another nonprofit who shares a similar mission to one of the women in the play. Our goal is to increase awareness of injustices suffered by women and girls throughout the world, as well as at home, and encourage audiences and communities to take action.
