A campaign to raise funds for nimbus' new performance space on Central Ave.
In December, 2010, we picked up the keys to nimbus ' new permanent home. In eight weeks we - with an army of volunteers - turned it into a functional 75-seat performance space. While we are getting ready to open our second show, the space still needs a lot of work.
Just $24 will buy one chair for audience seating. $10,000 will furnish a complete state-of-the-art sound and video system. ANYTHING in between is a huge help. We need $50 for some light fixtures in the lobby, $125 for aisle lighting in the house, $400 for a new 14-foot ladder, $1500 for a new sign on the building, $2700 to finish electrical work, $5000 to match funds already granted to build new bathrooms in the lobby, and probably only $25,000 more to finish the whole space.
Our second show opens soon, and we need to finish the build-out over the summer. Your donation TODAY means we can finish the space, and get down to producing more of the crazy work you love us for.
Of course, your donation to the Central Space Campaign is fully tax-deductable. Donors will get their name on a special wall in our lobby, and invitations to special events in the coming season.
