FAMILY ENHANCEMENT CENTER aka Center for Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment

The Family Enhancement Center is dedicated to keeping all children safe by working with communities to provide innovative programs, family education and intervention.

The Family Enhancement Center is one of a handful of agencies in the greater metro area which has the expertise to help with families involved in the cycle of child abuse. The Center’s sole focus and commitment is the prevention and treatment of child abuse.

Our mission at the Family Enhancement Center is two-fold: Through crisis phone counseling, family support services, and counseling for children and families, the Family Enhancement Center helps families who already struggle with child abuse as well as families who are at high risk for abuse; the Family Enhancement Center is also an educational advocate -- bringing the issue of child abuse and its prevention to light through educational programs and community workshops. We aspire to create awareness of the issue of child abuse and its effects on individuals, families and the community itself.

The Family Enhancement Center serves families from all over the greater metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Our referrals come from faith communities, medical clinics, other human service agencies and walk-ins from word of mouth or even the phone book.

The Family Enhancement Center believes in honoring the family in the healing process, yet first and foremost is an advocate for the safety and well-being of the child.

• $10 - Art supplies and food for Kids World Group (Family programming for children affected by abuse)
• $25 - Two hours of In-Home Parenting
• $50 - Four hours of Families Moving Forward Group (a unique group for non-offending parents of sexually abused children)
• $100 - One hour of family therapy
