Catalyst Foundation
A US registered nonprofit

Northfield, MN USA
Catalyst Foundation's mission is to improve the lives of families in Vietnam through anti-trafficking & community development programs.

Catalyst Foundation firmly believes in working collectively with local communities in raising awareness, providing access to education, increasing economic opportunities, and generating a sense of empowerment.

The International Labor Organization (ILO) estimates that over 1.3 million persons have been trafficked into forced labor within Asia, representing over 55% of the world’s trafficking industry. For many years, Vietnam has been known as a “source country” for child trafficking. We work in partnership with local staff and communities to provide educational scholarships and life skills trainings that spread awareness of trafficking.

We NEED your support TODAY to continue our work.

$40 Basic Health Exams. To be a part of a more concerted effort to address child health problems and malnutrition a team of doctors, nurses and medical volunteers from Catalyst Foundation will basic medical and dental exams throughout the year.
$50 Identity Papers. Without a birth certificate, no identity card can be issued and without identity card, there is no access to formal financial, educational, or health services. Our key concern is the need to obtain identity papers for children and their parents so that they can find work and a home later on.
$50 Community Education Training. Monthly community education training sessions for the children and families allow a fun educational opportunity to teach a variety of topics including the dangers of child trafficking, HIV/AIDS, self-defense and positive self-esteem.
$150 Vocational Training. This initiative will allow each student to learn a craft in which they are interested. This will eventually earn them a sufficient living to feed their family and educate their children.
$200 Little Red Fairy My Vietnam Art Contest Scholarship. Through a series of art contests for children ages 5 to 18, we seek to provide a level playing field where talent, not economic or social position, prevails.
$240 Project Backpack seeks to provide every one of the 200 children in Catalyst’s Scholarship Program with the tools to succeed in school AND at home. For $20 per month, you can sponsor a child’s “backpack” Scholarship Program. Each backpack enables children to stay in school by providing food and all-school related costs for one year.
$3,000 Home Renovation. Shelter from rain, wind and sun is a basic human need. There are over 400 families living and working in a garbage dump, no decent place to call home.
