CAMP GET-A-WELL-A

Camp Get-A-Well-A is a camp for children with all types of illnesses, brought to children’s hospitals around the country. If kids can’t go to camp, we bring camp to them! At Camp Get-A-Well-A, we feel it is important to recognize that children in the hospital need to not only have their physical needs met, but their social and emotional needs as well. What is our prescription for seriously ill kids in the hospital? Campfire sing-a-longs, s’mores, carnival games, tie-dyeing t-shirts and the ever popular canoe ride back and forth in the therapy pool! Because healing the spirit can help heal the body, we believe that sometimes the best medicine does not come from a bottle.
