Join Pakistan on the road to recovery by supporting 4GGL girls' leadership programs that have a long-term impact
In a society where females are already severly disadvantaged, natural disasters make it even more difficult for girls to get proper access to education, health services, and leadership training. It is in this environment where 4GGL seeks to tackle issues head-on while engaging local communities. Having spent time speaking with 4GGL's founder, I am proud to fundraise for a nonprofit that passionately advocates for those without a voice in their own societies. Please check out the video above.
"They've been hit with the worst flood -- natural disaster -- ever where 14 million people are being impacted... Developing leadership of girls and training trainers who are young women is so important for long-term impact" - 4GGL Founding Director Jin In
4GGL is working in Lahore to develop local community networks for girls’ leadership (4GGL Networks), partnering with organizations that focus on health, education or developing economic opportunities for girls. They are training the trainers from these organizations and providing guidance and technical assistance to help develop girls’ leadership programs that are socially and culturally appropriate for their communities.
In order to tackle the root cause and to create systemic change, 4GGL is facilitating dialogues with partners and community stakeholders on social-cultural gender norms that are negatively impacting girls. 4GGL’s long-term goal is to develop sustainable communities for girls’ leadership.
