Brainerd Lakes Area Liturgy Day 2012

Good liturgy nourishes faith. With faith all things are possible.

In northern and central Minnesota, most church choir directors and music directors are volunteers and/or part-time. With rare exception, they do not have the ability to attend liturgical workshops which are most often held in larger metro areas.

In March 2011, we had 150 choir directors and musicians attend the workshop and over 400 people at the concert. Choir directors and liturgists came to Brainerd from 200 miles in every direction. This speaks highly of Fr. Michael Joncas (On Eagle's Wings) and Marty Haugen (Gather Us In), the presenters. It also speaks of the great need for opportunities to enrich liturgical experience and leadership in this part of Minnesota.
