Born Learning Trail

An interactive and playful activity to help parents, caregivers and communities support early learning.
Bltsign2web

The Born Learning Trail boosts children’s language and literacy skills, encourages families to get active, and elevates awareness of early childhood education.

The Born Learning Trail includes 10 fun outdoor games on engaging signs to help parents and caregivers create learning opportunities for a young child.

The first Born Learning Trail in Rochester is located at Silver Lake Park just west of Three Links Shelter (870 7th Street NE).

The trail was installed in May 2009 by volunteers from the Emerging Leaders in Giving affinity group with the cooperation of the City of Rochester Parks and Recreation Department and the assistance of Ryan Hegland of Hegland's Creative Landscapes.

This trail was sponsored by Rochester Public Library, Wells Fargo, RNeighbors, and Kruse Lumber.

Help us install another Born Learning Trail.
