OUR MISSION: To improve people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community. OUR VISION: The United Way of Bemidji Area will be a recognized leader connecting people, resources and ideas to create a thriving community characterized by measurable and long-lasting improvements in education, income and health. Building Blocks for a Good Life EDUCATION Helping children, youth and adults achieve their full potential INCOME Promoting financial stability, increasing self-sufficiency and independence HEALTH Improving people’s health and social well-being, and providing emergency services OUR AGENDA... For Advancing the Common Good Invest in nonprofit health and human service programs and services that address the most critical needs and deliver the greatest impact possible. In 2010, United Way invested $293,000 in 36 Partner Agencies and awarded four agencies a total of $9,975 in Venture Grants. Implement community impact initiatives and support year round programs that address new and emerging needs.
