A readings series that features the extraordinary talents of the literary community in the Twin Cities metro area and beyond.

Originally, a program of SASE, The Write Place, the series is now solely sponsored by Banfill-Locke. Curator/Hosts for this 2nd Friday night reading series have included poet and author Kathryn Kysar, award-winning poet, Anna George Meek, novelist John Reimringer award-winning poets, Katrina Vandenberg, Kris Bigalk, and Matt Rasmussen. In 2013, noted poet Paula Cisewski takes the reins. Authors who have appeared at Banfill-Locke include an incredible roster of Minnesota poets and writers from Heid Erdrich to Jim Lenfestey to Joyce Sutphen to playwright, Aditi Kapil. Ever aware that writers deserve monetary compensation for their time. Funding is needed for nominal stipends for participating writers as well as the curator/host.

This reading series is unique in the area and offers a deeply, satisfying literary experience generated by Minnesota writers to anyone interested. Wheelchair accessible, and free, the Reading Series welcomes all.

2nd Fridays, BLCA, 7:30 PM. Please support your local writer!
