Athletic Field Lights, Bleachers & Pressbox

While other high schools on the south side enjoy concessions, lights, decent facilities, sadly, the South High field suffers from the lack of any of the normal things that are taken for granted. Last year the Foundation successfully completed a concessions and restroom facility. Next on the list: lights. Lights will allow more scheduling of the field, including conference and other big events. This will draw more crowds, and as a result the athletic department will have more revenue to cover other necessities like uniforms and equipment. Imagine being able to attend a game after work, at night? Or handicap accessible seating. Or how about a basic pressbox so our sound and scoreboard controls are actuall indoors and not under a temporary tent?
