Steps of Hope is the largest annual fundraiser for the Autism Society of Minnesota. Walk with us because every step is progress...

Thanks to my best buddy, Becca Mullen, I was one of the many Hopkins natives lucky enough to grow up knowing and loving her little brother, Joey Mullen. Joey has a great personality and wonderful sense of humor. I learned a lot from having "Shmoe" tag along throughout our adolesence... and I think he did too. Joey is now a warm, charasmatic, and confident adult, who still faces the daily challenges of living with special needs. As a teacher, I work with many students identified with ASD and I am constantly trying to increase my understanding of their disability.

Joey greets those he meets with a genuine smile and fierce embrace--this is the same greeting you can expect from me after I receive your donation.

Please help me in my efforts to raise money for the AUTISM SOCIETY OF MINNESOTA--every dollar counts!

***LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WALKING WITH OUR TEAM***

Below is the official (boring) script provided by the organization:

Established in 1971, the Autism Society of MN (AuSM) exists to enhance the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder. We strive to achieve our mission through collaboration, education, advocacy and support. Services like support groups, social skills classes, mental health services, education programs for families and professionals, lending library and awareness events are made possible by contributions to AuSM. Keep your dollars local by supporting the organization that supports you!
