Partner with ASDIC on phase 2 of upgrading the ASDIC manual. Make ASDIC Circles accessible to more people in our region.

We celebrate the major honors the ASDIC program has received during the past year, both in Duluth and the East Metro area. As we plan what is needed in the new racial-political climate, we redouble our efforts to make the ASDIC program more accessible and the ASDIC Manual more readable.

Thanks to so many who contributed funds toward upgrading the ASDIC Manual last year at this time. With those funds we were able to locate organizations that will scan the Manual into digital form and photocopy the Manual free of charge. And we have been able to redact some of the articles in the Manual that are most difficult to read. We are getting closer to the results we all wish to see!

We would love your help with Phase Two of upgrading the ASDIC Manual. In Phase Two we will redact more of the articles (lowering copyright expenses) and begin writing a preface for each week’s reading. Each preface will explore major themes in the readings using language that is easier to read. And we will continue updating the Manual to include the most recent thinking around the issues we explore together in ASDIC Circles.

Kindly look for information about upcoming ASDIC programs on our website, www.asdic-circle.org. We would welcome the opportunity to connect with you at some of these events.

With much gratitude for your work and commitments,

--Herb, Margery and the whole ASDIC community

In a busy world with complex issues, one thing that is possible to know for sure: it is wrong that people be treated differently because of their race. Yet it happens all the same and all too much. The ASDIC program gives opportunities for dialogue about race and provides a means of dismantling racism and becoming a beloved human community. It is a benefit to all, regardless of their race.

The ASDIC process made a powerful impact on my work in the community addressing racism and white privilege. It really is a valuable tool in transforming society and building beloved community.

I support ASDIC because what I learned from the ASDIC circle greatly increased my awareness around racism and what it really means. Reading and discussing the ASDIC manual encouraged me to look deeper into my life. I'm committed to working in solidarity on issues of justice. Thank you ASDIC!
