Annual Senior Holiday Lunch

Since 2004 SEWA-AIFW has been hosting an annual dinner or lunch for Asian-Indian Seniors around this time of year. These seniors generally have no regular socializing or interaction with others their age. This year we will strive to continue this much needed event for 55+ seniors.

This year our funding from grants have been drastically reduced due to the economic situation. We are asking the Asian Indian community members such as yourself to donate money to help fund this event.

Indian Palace is already generously reducing their group lunch rate, so we need to come up with the funds to pay for each senior (about 25-20). We are asking family and volunteers who attend with seniors to pay for their own lunches which will also be at the reduced rate. In addition to lunches, your donation will also help pay for transportation since many seniors have no transportation. Your donation will also help us purchase small gifts of needed items to give to the seniors. In the past we've gifted mittens, winter hats, scarves, etc.
