Aid Expedition 2010

Let me tell you about the The Catalyst Foundation and why we are traveling on this aid expedition to the Kien Giang Province from March 21 – April 3, 2010.

The Catalyst Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization that seeks to improve the lives of at-risk populations through community development and capacity building projects in Vietnam.

On this trip I will be a part of the building team and help construct several homes for families - very exciting! The money I am raising goes towards building schools and houses for people who call a garbage dump home, and providing food and medical care for people who otherwise would have nothing. The home team will renovate five homes in four days for children that have been sexually abused. This new home will give these families shelter, self-respect and the hope of a better life.

Here is where the funding will go:

Home Team: $3000/home

Medical Team: $20/patient (expecting 800 patients in 4 days)

School Team: $55/bike (100 bikes) $2500/playground, $200/computer (100 computers)
