My name is Cynthia Uhrich, and I am an actress, acting coach and writer who has lived and worked in Hollywood, Florida and the Twin Cities. I have been a working professional in the entertainment business for over 25 years. My mission for the past 7 years has been to empower actors and one of the best ways to do that is to CREATE PROJECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES for them!

The talent base of filmmakers and artists is vast and deep in the Twin Cities. I believe that every film produced in the Twin Cities elevates our visibility and status as world-class artists. 

My original script, "M4W " was one of two scripts selected for a public reading at The Loft Literary Center (2008) in the adult division of a contest sponsored by The Storyboard. The screenplay is about two people who fall in love over the internet, where their imperfections are easily hidden. Their face-to-face meeting however, isn't the stuff of which epic (or Hollywood) romance is made; and each must come to terms with what "real world" relationships entail.

I'm pleased to have Paul Cram and Sheena Leigh aboard to play the lead roles in the short, both very interesting and talented actors. The role was written with Sheena in mind and as good fortune would have it, Paul was the actor hired to play the role at The Loft reading and I loved what he brought to it. I know their unique talents will bring the script to life.

"M4W " is one of two short screenplays I've written, as well as the feature film "Hotdish" (which was just presented to the public in a staged reading at The Playwright's Center this past October) and a short dark comedy theatre piece.
