Ripple Effects:

The $25,000 Lakes Area Giving Challenge.

One tiny pebble. One big lake. How could something so small possibly affect something so massive? And yet, it does. When the pebble touches the surface, its ripples radiate to the shoreline. All we have to do is believe in the impact enough to throw it. An Initiative Foundation donor believes, and his family wants to know how mighty of a wave we can create together.

To that end, this anonymous family has selected five nonprofits that are working to change and save lives in the Brainerd Lakes Area. From 8 a.m. on August 2nd to 4 p.m. on August 13th, they will match all online donations up to $5,000 per organization. As an extra incentive, the foundation will award another $1,000 to the nonprofit that ends the challenge with the most individual donors.

So, cast a pebble for your favorite nonprofit today, and check back often to see the ripples. Thank you for doubling your generosity!

*This total may not equal the sum of the donors listed for each of the individual 5 nonprofits. This value represents the net number of UNIQUE donors across all 5 organizations, and therefore a donor who gives to more than 1 nonprofit does will only be counted once in this total. Only donations made between 8 a.m. on August 2nd to 4 p.m. on August 13th (central time) are reflected on this page and count towards the matching grant; all other donations made outside this timeframe do not appear on this campaign webpage and therefore do not qualify to receive matching grants.
